Tasting Notes: The nose is dominated by the evolved aromas of fruit, especially prunes and dried figs, toasted almonds, with a spicy curry touch. Very unique, revealing multiple sensations throughout the tasting, with sweet spices, such as nutmeg, emerging in the mouth, combined with lively acidity and fresh citrus notes.
Winemaking: The fermentation process is stopped at the ideal time, according to the traditional Port winemaking method, which involves stopping fermentation by adding a grape brandy (cognac). This 50 Year Old Tawny Port wine is the result of blending different top quality wines, aged in casks from different periods. The result is an amber colored wine,
evolved aromas, presenting the profile of a 50-year-old wine.
Suggestions: A Port to be enjoyed on its own for its complexity. Serve at a temperature between 12ºC and 16ºC. Consume in moderation.
