Prémios e Recomendações

2019
International Wine Challenge, Reino Unido | Ouro, 95/100 PTS, “Rich luscious dark fruit, orange peel, coffee and violet notes. Complex, with good depth and firm tannin. Needs ages!”
Mundus Vini Spring Tasting, Alemanha | Ouro
Decanter World Wine Awards
, Reino Unido | Prata, 91/100 PTS, “Tightly knit nose, with firm berry fruit plus more savoury, meaty lines. Nascent black fruit core to the dense, gritty palate.”
International Wine & Spirit Competition, Reino Unido | Prata, 91/100 PTS, “A more traditional style, with a charming start of black pepper and blackcurrant jam. It has a big wood influence on the nose, with plenty of spicy notes and an earthy undertone. This is a complex and well-made wine, with prominent tannins and well-controlled alcohol.”
Sommelier Wine Awards, Reino Unido | Prata

2018
Wine Enthusiast, Roger Voss, EUA | 99/100 PTS, “This is a ripe and generous wine, with tannins that are well integrated into the powerful black-fruit core. It is rich in a black plum flavor that’s cut by fine acidity. Complex, balanced and full of long-term potential, drink this impressive wine from 2029.”
Wine Enthusiast, EUA | Top 100 Cellar Selections
Wine Spectator, James Molesworth, EUA | 96/100 PTS, “Densely packed, with a wall of baker’s chocolate up front, followed by muscular black currant, fig and blackberry paste flavors. Shows waves of brambly grip through the finish, along with flashes of apple wood and Turkish coffee. A big wine. Best from 2035 through 2055. 830 cases made, 250 cases imported.”
Robert Parker – Wine Advocate, Mark Squires, EUA | 93/100 PTS, “This was in bottle about two months when tasted. Dark in color, with fine and expressive fruit, this shows intensity of flavor more than pure power. The fruit demonstrates nice lift as it opens with air. This is a very nice success in this vintage, showing me fine fruit and reasonable structure. The concentration is good too, but it’s not quite as impressive as the first two components. It is still excellent overall, the most exuberant of the three Sogrape Portos.”
Jancis Robinson, Richard Hemming, Reino Unido | 18,5+/20 PTS, “Plum, violet and chocolate with a hint of musky grape aromas too. Pashmina smoothness. Utter pleasure to taste – the fruit is just so pristine, yet there is spice and earthiness and even a bit of savoury umami flavour too – mushroom and soy, perhaps. Superb.”

Vinhos Grandes Escolhas
, Portugal | Os Melhores Vinhos
Richard Mayson
, Reino Unido | 17,5/20 PTS, “Closed and dense on the nose, a touch of tar, muscular in the mouth, still tight knit with the powerful spicy, dry tannins that seem to have become the hallmark of Sandeman in recent vintages. At this stage the tannins dominate the fruit. Serious vintage Port, not as overwhelmingly extractive as some previous years and well balanced for a long future.  Just 10,000 bottles declared. Drink from 2032 +.”
